Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay are ready for the World Cup in Romania. These three teams will represent South America at the Women’s Youth World Cup, to be held in Romania from July 29 to August 9.
Argentina in Group D
The team coached by Gastón Arias is in Group D with Portugal, the Netherlands, and Montenegro. It will play its matches in the city of Mioveni at the Sala Sporturilar Stadium.
On July 29, Argentina will face Portugal; on Thursday, July 30, it will play the Netherlands; and it will close out the preliminary round on August 1 against Montenegro.

Uruguay in Group F
Group F features the host team, Romania, along with Uruguay, China, and Kazakhstan. The matches will be played in the city of Pitesti at the Arena Pitesti stadium.
Uruguay kicks off the preliminary round on July 29 against Romania, faces China on Thursday, July 30, and wraps up the round on Friday, August 1, against Kazakhstan.

Brazil in Group G
The Brazilian national team is in Group G with Slovakia, Japan, and Angola. The matches will be played in the city of Ramnicu Valcea at the Traian Sport Hall.
Brazil, coached by Mauricio Antonucci, will play Slovakia on Wednesday, the 29th, face Japan on the 30th, and close out the group stage against Angola.

A Look at the Standings: Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay
During the SCA tournament for women’s youth national teams in November 2025 Argentina and Brazil treated us to a thrilling final.
In the opening minutes of the game, Mauricio Antonucci’s team started slow but picked up the pace. With quick counterattacks and a solid defensive effort, they closed out the first stretch with a 9-12 lead.
The second half, the Argentinians turned the score around, but the Verdeamarela team quickly responded to equalize the match.
The goalkeepers for both teams stood out in the second half; Victoria Trebini and Maia Pecnik of Argentina made key saves, with the latter being named the game’s MVP.
Meanwhile, Sara Herz was a rock in the Brazilian goal. In the end, Argentina won 23-22 to claim the South and Central American championship title.
The Argentine national team managed to cut the 14 consecutive titles of the Brazilians in the category. In the third edition of the SCA, Argentina was crowned champion.
Meanwhile, the Uruguayan national team defeated Paraguay 26-23 in the third-place game of the tournament, thereby qualifying for the next round.
