Brazilian duo officiated the final at the Women’s Junior World Cup. The tournament, which recently concluded in China, featured South American referees.
Referees and technical officials participated in the Women’s Junior World Cup, with standout performances by the refereeing teams from Brazil and Uruguay, which culminated in Germany being crowned champion.
Brazilian duo
Bruna Correa and Renata Correa of Brazil refereed a total of six matches at the Women’s Junior World Cup held in Jinzhong, China.
In the preliminary round, they refereed the matches between China and Guinea, and Croatia and Japan. They also officiated the matches between Spain and Romania, and Hungary and Norway in the Main Round.
In addition, in the quarterfinals: Denmark vs. Serbia.
It is worth noting that the Brazilian duo officiated the Germany vs. Denmark final.

“Refrain the World Cup final was a dream come true—knowing that all the hard work and sacrifice over the years were worth it. The best way to make your dreams come true is to never give up,”, said Renata Correa.
Uruguayan referees
Germán Araujo and Nicolás Perdomo were the Uruguayan duo who officiated a total of six matches at the Women’s Junior World Cup held in China.
During the preliminary round, they officiated the Serbia vs. Angola and Guinea vs. Algeria matches. Meanwhile, in the Main Round, they officiated the Japan vs. Hungary match.
In the qualifying round: Sweden vs. the Czech Republic and Algeria vs. the Faroe Islands. They wrapped up their tournament by officiating the fifth- and sixth-place game between Montenegro and Serbia.

Observer
Teodoro Adjemian of Argentina attended the World Championship as an observer and referee evaluator.
“The nomination of Bruna Correa and Renata Correa, in particular, fills me with joy and excitement. They are two people who are always smiling and eager to learn.
“We saw them arrive as two little girls, and now they’re two women with a lot of character and personality. I hope many couples can look to them as an example,”, said Adjemian

He also singled out Nicolás Perdomo and Germán Araujo, who officiated the fifth- and sixth-place match.
“Of the last four matches, two pairs were from Coscabal. As Head Referee, I feel very satisfied and proud.”
