Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay wrapped up their participation in the Junior World Cup held in China. The three South American teams finished in 20th, 21st, and 26th place.
20th Place for Brazil
Against Iceland in their last game, Brazil never managed to take the lead and committed more turnovers.
The European team turned a 15-14 halftime lead into a 22-18 lead after 40 minutes. Although Brazil managed to cut the deficit to a single goal (24-23), Iceland scored six goals in the final seven minutes to secure a 30-27 victory.
Brazil finished in 20th place, up from 22nd in 2022.

Argentina is ranked 21st
Argentina finished in 21st place in the standings after a game full of ups and downs. At halftime, the South American team had squandered an eight-goal lead (17–9), and Angola capitalized on their mistakes in the second half.
Helena Molina was once again Argentina’s leading scorer with six goals. Argentina was leading by six goals in the 44th minute (22-16), but scored only twice in the next 16 minutes.
Angolan goalkeeper Elizandra Domingos put on a flawless performance with 15 saves and a 50% save percentage.
In the end, the match was decided in a penalty shootout. Argentina kept their composure and scored four goals, while Angola managed only three. The final score was 28–27 in favor of the South American team.

Paraguay is ranked 26th
In the first half, Paraguay went into halftime with a narrow 12-11 lead. In the second half, Turkey, with an excellent performance and great consistency, showed more experience.
Paraguay lost 22-27 to Turkey.
