World Cup 2027: South Americans already know their rivals. The draw for the IHF Men’s Handball World Championship 2027 was held in Germany with the 32 qualified teams.

The South Americans already know their rivals, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay are part of the 32 teams competing in the most important event of the discipline that will be held from January 13 to 31 in 2027.

Reigning world champions Denmark arrive at Germany 2027 as one of the favorites, having made history with four consecutive World Championship titles.

Germany, the host country, comes with the weight of its history. The last time it hosted the Men’s World Championship was in 2007, unleashing the passion for the sport.

Defined groups

The preliminary phase will be played in four cities: Munich, Stuttgart, Kiell and Magdeburg. Uruguay and Chile will play their matches in Munich, while Argentina and Brazil will play their matches in Stuttgart and share a group.

Host cities for the Men’s World Cup.

The groups were formed as follows: Group A: Germany, Serbia, Tunisia and Uruguay. Uruguay.
In Group B: Egypt, Italy, Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia. Group C: Croatia, Spain, Chile and Turkey.

Meanwhile, Group D features the South American classic: ArgentinaFrance, Brazil and Kuwait. In Group E: Switzerland, Norway, Greece and Qatar. In Group F: Portugal, Faroe Islands, Poland and Algeria.

And finally, Group G: Denmark, Slovenia, United States and Angola. Group H: Iceland, North Macedonia, Bahrain, Japan.
