First day in Phase 2 Beach Handball of women on the way to the World Cup in Croatia. Victories of Uruguay and Chile in Punta Arena.
On the first day of competition in Punta Negra in Lima, the Uruguayan national team won the opening match of the competition against Chile. It was a 2-0 charrúa victory.
In the afternoon, it was the turn of the locals, who lost 2-0 to Chile.

The first set began evenly matched, the Chileans took advantage in the scoreboard but the reaction of the Uruguayans put them up closing 16:14.
In the second set, the girls coached by Maximiliano Malfatti adjusted their defense and found the spaces in attack to win 22-12 and in this way secure 2 points.

Peru vs Chile
The Punta Negra beach on the coast of Lima was witness to the second match of the day.
Chile took a wide advantage over the locals. The first set closed 8:20 in favor of the team coached by Sebastian Aravena.
In the second set, Peru improved their attack but it was not enough after several blocks by the Chilean defense. Chile won 14:16 and with this result, they added 2 points in the standings.
Ayelen Gonzalez was named the MVP of the game.

At 11.00 local time Peru vs Uruguay and in the afternoon at 17.00 Chile vs Peru.
