Beach Handball Global Tour in Doha

The IHF Beach Handball Global Tour is coming to Doha, Qatar on November 6 and 7. It is the third and last stage of the circuit that was played in Maricá, Brazil; Cadiz, Spain and will close in the Asian nation.

The final stage of the Global Tour will have four teams in each division competing for the title. The qualifiers for this stage are the winners of each circuit, plus the world champions and the host country. In the men’s division, the following teams will participate:

  • Brazil (winner of Circuit 1 in Maricá)
  • Germany (winner of Circuit 2 in Cadiz)
  • Croatia (world champion)
  • Qatar (host country)

In the women’s division, the following are participating:

  • Brazil (winner of Circuit 1 in Maricá)
  • Spain (winner of Circuit 2 in Cadiz)
  • Germany (world champion)
  • Portugal (replacing Qatar, which does not have a women’s team)

The Al Gahrafa Beach Stadium in the city of Doha, Qatar will crown the men’s and women’s champions of the 2024 edition.

About the World Tour

The Global Tour was launched at the IHF Men’s and Women’s Beach Handball World Championship in Greece in 2022. Croatia won the men’s tournament and Spain won the women’s tournament. This 2024 in May Stage 1 was held in Maricá, Brazil. The host nation won in both genders. Stage 2 took place in Cadiz, Spain, and the host nation won the women’s tournament, while Germany was crowned in the men’s.
