Colombia vs. Bolivia (5th/6th Place)
In the match for fifth and sixth place, Colombia defeated Bolivia 39-5.The MVP of the game was Colombia’s Sara Arcila, who scored 6 goals. The match was officiated by the Peruvian refereeing duo of Paolo Luján and Jesús Ortíz Velásquez.

Peru vs. Venezuela (3rd/4th Place)
The Peruvian and Venezuelan teams faced off for the bronze medal. Venezuela defeated Peru 28-20, and with this result, the team coached by Kirenia Quintana secured third place on the podium.
The game’s MVP was Elimar Machado, who scored 11 goals for the Venezuelan team. The match was officiated by the Brazilian refereeing duo of Pamela Ferreira de Souza and Natany Valentim de Lima.

Chile vs. Uruguay (1st/2nd Place)
The Chilean and Uruguayan teams played a thrilling final match; with both teams already qualified for the SCA tournament, they competed for first and second place in the competition. Uruguay defeated Chile 19-15 and took home the gold.
The team coached by Ramiro Montoya clearly dominated the first half; taking advantage of the Chilean offense’s quick plays, they went into halftime with a 9-7 lead.
In the second half, Leonardo Puñales’s team turned the game around, tightened up their defense, and goalkeeper Agustina Modernell made several key saves that prevented Chile from scoring.
Uruguay defeated Chile 19-15; the game’s MVP was Sabrina Grieco, who also put in an impeccable performance on offense and scored 5 goals.

With this result, Uruguay is the champion of the IHF Nations Trophy, Chile takes second place, and Venezuela rounds out the podium in third place.

Relive the Chile vs. Uruguay Final
This competition was the first event of its kind in South America. From September 29 to October 3, it will be Central America’s turn; the competition will take place in Guatemala.
Each championship awards two spots per subcontinent for the qualifying tournament for the Women’s Senior World Cup, which will take place in December.
