Managua will host the SCA U-15 and U-16 Cadet Tournament

Managua will host the SCA U-15 and U-16 Cadet Tournament for both girls and boys. The tournament will take place October 21–25 at the IND (Nicaraguan Institute of Sports) in Managua.

The competition will feature local teams, Nicaragua A and Nicaragua B, as well as teams from Honduras and El Salvador.

Main venue for the tournament will be the Handball Gymnasium at the Nicaraguan Institute of Sports (IND) in Managua.

COMPETITION FORMAT

The competition format will be round-robin, meaning every team plays every other team, with up to 6 teams per gender, as in this tournament.

Match results will award the following points: 2 (two) points for a win, 1 (one) point for a tie, and 0 (zero) points for a loss.

At standings for the participating teams will be determined based on the total number of points earned. If two or more teams have earned the same number of points after the round-robin matches have been completed, the standings will be determined as follows:

Head-to-head record between the tied teams
Goal difference in the matches played between the tied teams
Greater number of goals scored in matches played between the tied teams

If, after successively applying the criteria listed above, the teams remain tied, a decision will be made by applying the following criteria among the teams with the same number of points:

Goal difference, taking into account all matches played
Highest number of goals scored, taking into account all matches played

After applying these criteria, it is still not possible to determine the teams’ standings, a draw will be held among the teams tied in points to decide the ranking.

Beacause, the IHF/COSCABAL representative present at the venue will conduct the draw, if possible, in the presence of the “team officials.”

The “team official” cannot be present, other representatives selected by COSCABAL will take part.
