Groups of the World Junior Women’s Championship

Groups of the World Junior Women’s Championship, the 25th edition will be held from June 24 to July 5, 2026 in the People’s Republic of China.

The draw was held to define the groups for the World Cup, which will feature 32 teams divided into eight groups from June 24 to July 5 in the People’s Republic of China.

This is the second time that China hosts the competition. The competition will be held in 4 venues in Jinzhong:

  • Municipal Gymnasium
  • The Technical and Vocational College Gymnasium
  • Zhongdu Campus of Shanxi Medical University
  • Jinzhong University Gymnasium

Competition system

The preliminary round is made up of eight groups of four teams each, and the top two from each group will advance to the main round, while the other two will participate in the President’s Cup.

The top two teams from each main round group will qualify for the quarterfinals.

Groups

Group A: France, Egypt, Sweden, India; Group B: Austria, Serbia, Angola, ParaguayGroup C: Germany, Romania, BrazilCanada and Group D: Spain, Republic of Korea, ArgentinaTurkey.

Meanwhile, Group E is made up of: Denmark, China, Guinea, Trophy. Group F: Montenegro, Czech Republic, Iceland, United States. Group G: Hungary, Poland, Chinese Taipei, Tunisia and Group H: Croatia, Japan, Norway and a team to be defined.

South America’s representatives are Paraguay in Group B, Brazil in Group C and Argentina in Group D, who will be looking to improve their positions in the competition.
