In the final of the SCA Senior Beach Handball Tournament, the South American classic was played, Asunción witnessed the last match of the men’s branch. Brazil beat Argentina by two sets to zero, being crowned champion of the 3rd edition.
Under a tight first set, Argentina led the pace of play during the initial 5 minutes, but after more than half of the first half, Brazil began to filter the albiceleste defense, tying the score with only 15 seconds remaining. A final rally by Brazil gave them the victory of the set, winning 15-14.
Led by a fired-up Joao Paulo, who finished the match with 13 goals, Brazil started the second set with a resounding 8-0. The Verdeamarela began to take advantage of the spaces and the small errors that the Argentine defense made, imposing their game with authority. Finally, Brazil took the set 16-8, crowning themselves champions of the 3rd edition of the South Central American Senior Beach Handball Tournament 2024.
