IHF Men’s Youth and Junior Trophy in El Salvador. The Central American Phase was held June 9–13 in the Salvadoran capital.
El Salvador hosted the region’s most important tournament, bringing together the national teams of Central America for a week full of competition and excitement.
Youth Category
The teams participating in the Youth category were: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.
The rankings were as follows:
1. Nicaragua (qualified for the Continental Phase)
2. El Salvador (qualified for the Continental Phase)
3. Guatemala
4. Costa Rica
5. Honduras
6. Panama
Junior Category
As for the participants in the Junior category, teams from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama were in attendance.
The competition ended with the following results:
1. Nicaragua (qualified for the Continental Phase)
2. Guatemala (qualified for the Continental Phase)
3. Costa Rica
4. Honduras
5. Panama
6. El Salvador
All the matches were played at the Cuna del Mágico González Stadium in the Salvadoran capital. It is worth noting that the top two teams in each category advanced to the next continental phase.
