Argentina Is the Beach Handball World Champion! At the conclusion of the tournament held in Zagreb, Croatia, after completing the 144-game schedule, Argentina took home the gold.
Gold for Argentina
The Argentine women’s beach handball team was crowned champion after defeating Denmark 2-1 in the final.
The team coached by Leticia Brunati won the World Championship, the Continental Championship, and the World Games.
South American team, led by captain Gisella Bonomi with 18 points, confidently took the first set (20–14), but struggled in the second, where a stellar performance by Danish goalkeeper Ditte Vind secured a clear 27–14 victory.
Thus, the match was decided in a penalty shootout, where the Argentine team’s goalkeeper, Alma Molina, shone once again, stopping the Danish attack and securing a 6-2 victory, thereby clinching the triple crown of international titles.
