Second day at the Invencible in Santa Fe with a large crowd in attendance, the women’s handball team advances in the South American Games competition.
Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina all earned points in the standings, which currently have the Uruguayan team at the top.

Day 2 Recap
PERU VS. PARAGUAY
The team coached by Mariza Faria got off to a strong start, securing their second victory with a 28-10 win over Peru.
The Peruvian team found answers through Kyara Vidales and Ana Córdova, but Paraguay maintained its lead in the first half, 14-7.
In overtime, the Guaraníes extended their lead and secured the victory, 28–10.
Fernanda Insfrán was the game’s top scorer with 8 goals, while Ahinara Lombardo scored 6 and Jessica Fleitas scored 5.
Paraguayan goalkeeper Anna Macke finished with 11 saves out of 19 shots (58%).
COLOMBIA VS. URUGUAY
Uruguay defeated Colombia by a wide margin, 40–14. The Uruguayan team maintained their intensity throughout the match and secured the victory.
Sabrina Grieco was Uruguay’s top scorer with 6 goals. In goal, Agustina Modernell made 7 saves on 17 shots (41%).
For Colombia, Susana Estrada was the top scorer with 4 goals.
CHILE VS. ARGENTINA
In front of a packed crowd at Invencible Stadium, Argentina defeated Chile 32-25. The home team took the lead early in the game, but Chile fought back and capitalized on some offensive mistakes by their opponents, turning the score around to go into halftime leading 14-12.
In the second half, Argentina regained control and took the lead. They also capitalized on Chile’s penalties to create several breakaway opportunities and extend their lead, ultimately securing the victory.
Miranda Kruk was Argentina’s leading scorer with 6 goals. In Chile, Gabriela Müller led the offense with 9 goals.
The action continues this Friday starting at 2:30 p.m. with Chile vs. Peru, followed by Paraguay vs. Colombia at 5:00 p.m., and the third day wraps up at 7:30 p.m. with Argentina vs. Uruguay
