The action continues in Asunción, where the SCA Under-13 and Under-14 Handball Tournament wrapped up its third day of competition at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee complex.
Matchday three of the South Central American Under-13 Girls’ and Under-14 Boys’ Championship. Paraguay A leads the standings in the girls’ division, while Brazil is in first place in the boys’ division, which serves as a qualifier for the World Cup.

The men’s Argentina vs. Paraguay B match kicked off the day’s action. Argentina won 41-14, and the game’s MVP was Argentina’s No. 13, Francisco Mendiola.
Franco Nicocia was the top scorer of the match with 11 goals.
In the second men’s match between Brazil and Chile, the Brazilians dominated the game. The final score was 37-22, and the MVP was goalkeeper Miguel Alves, while Antonio Junior led the scoring with 11 goals.
In the most recent match at CEO Stadium, Argentina faced Brazil in the women’s division. The South American classic went in favor of the Brazilians, who defeated Argentina 20-18.
The MVP was goalkeeper Giulya Fração, and Kamilly Nere was the top scorer with 9 goals.
Results from the Arena COP Stadium
Paraguay B vs. Chile (women’s team) kicked off the matches at the Arena COP stadium. The Paraguayan team’s 29-16 victory puts them in third place in the standings.
Sofía Ibañez was named the game’s MVP, while Kiara Franco was the top scorer with 7 goals.
In the men’s division, Paraguay A faced off against Uruguay. The home team defeated Uruguay 33-27.
The MVP was Lucas Paez of Paraguay A, and the top scorer of the match was Emiliano Bottini, who scored 9 goals for the Uruguayan team.
To close out the day, Paraguay A faced Uruguay in the women’s division. The Paraguayan team secured its third consecutive victory, defeating Uruguay 27-17, and now leads the standings.
The game’s MVP was Paraguay A’s captain, Fiorella Torres, who was also the top scorer with 7 goals.
