Brazil and Paraguay A remain undefeated in the SCA

Brazil and Paraguay A remain undefeated in the SCA; the Brazilian team and the host team are tied for first place in the standings of the South-Central Championship being held in Asunción.

Day four at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee complex, where the national teams from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay A and B, and Uruguay—in both men’s and women’s divisions—are the stars of the competition.

The day kicked off with the Paraguay A and B men’s teams; the team coached by Nelson Ozorio came away with a 39-22 victory.

The MVP was Daniro Díaz, who scored 11 goals for Paraguay A.

In the second game, Argentina and Chile played a closely contested match in the women’s division during the first half. In the second half, Argentina managed to pull ahead and secure a 25-17 victory over Chile.

Oriana Vignole was named MVP, and Constanza Azaldigui was the top scorer of the match.

In the most recent game at CEO Stadium, Argentina narrowly defeated Chile 28-27. The Albiceleste team had Agustín Flores named MVP, while Nicolás Espinoza was the top scorer of the match with 7 goals for Chile.

COP Arena Stadium

Uruguay and Paraguay B played their first match at the Arena; the Paraguayan team came away with a 26-22 victory, securing their third win.

The MVP was Sofía Ibañez of Paraguay B, while the game’s leading scorer was Lupe Rodríguez of Uruguay with 10 goals.

In the second game played at the COP Arena, Brazil defeated Uruguay 46-19, securing its fourth consecutive victory and the top spot in the standings.

The MVP was José Silva, and the top scorer of the match was Arthur Marreiros with 8 goals.

To close out the day’s action, the Brazil vs. Paraguay A women’s teams faced off. In front of a packed stadium, the Paraguayan women secured their fourth victory, 28-23, which puts them at the top of the standings.

Goalkeeper Maia Aranda was named MVP, while the top scorers of the match, with 7 goals each, were Paula González of Paraguay and Kamilly Nere of Brazil.
