Women’s SCA Club Tournament with groups and fixture defined

Women’s SCA Club Tournament with groups and fixture defined. The continental competition will be played in Asunción, Paraguay, from June 15 to 19.

Participating teams

The women’s tournament will feature 12 teams. Layva (2025 champion), Scuola Italiana and Goes from Uruguay. Pinheiros (2024, 2023, 2022 champion), FMO Português, Maringá and Torrense from Brazil; Sedalo, Jockey Club Córdoba and Vilo from Argentina; Club Deportivo Internacional and Cerro Porteño from Paraguay.

The competition will be held at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee complex, with two venues: Ueno COP Arena and CEO.

Four groups

Game system

The Championship will be played in a group system, with 2 zones of 4, made up of 3 teams.

Once the qualifying phase is completed, the teams that have won their respective groups will meet in the semifinals to define the champion of the respective zone.

The teams that win their respective zones will compete for first place and the title of Champion. The losers of the semifinals will compete for places 3 and 4.

Meanwhile, the teams that finish second in their respective zones will play for positions 5 to 8.

The matches leading to the Championship Zone that end in a tie shall be played in extra time. If the tie persists, a second overtime shall be played. If the tie persists after the two extra time periods, 7-meter shootouts shall be held in accordance with IHF regulations.

While the places from 5 to 12 that finish tied will be defined by throws of 7
meters in accordance with IHF regulations.
