COSCABAL has launched its first official beach handball. In partnership with the Argentine company Turby Sports.
The South and Central American Handball Confederation has announced the launch of its first range of official beach handball.
Official ball
This first edition comes in two colours, green and yellow – hence its name, verdeamarelo – and is inspired by the history and achievements of Brazil, one of the leading nations in the region and the world in this sport.
Furthermore, the range will include two sizes – No. 1 and No. 2 – which comply with regulations for both women’s and men’s competitions, making it the new official beach handball.

For COSCABAL President Marcel Mancilla, the project to develop the official ball means driving the development of this sport through the creation and use of quality products.

or this reason, before the final results were in, the balls were tested and evaluated at the 2022 Maceió South and Central American Men’s and Women’s Beach Handball Tournament.
There, all participants in the competition, including referees and coaching staff, were asked to assess the ball in terms of colour, grip, weight and comfort.
The response to the ball produced by the Argentine company was positive, as all criteria exceeded a 70% satisfaction rating.
“This survey demonstrated the quality of the balls, so we are very pleased with the final result and with this partnership,” said Mancilla.
With the official ball announced and the agreement with Turby Sports in place, COSCABAL hopes to continue driving the growth and development of handball through the use of quality equipment.
