Pinheiros defeated Montada at the Club World Cup; in Group A, the Brazilian team secured a 37-22 victory. This Tuesday, they will face Zamalek Club.

Both E.C. Pinheiros and Montada had lost their opening matches; however, the Brazilian team put on a strong performance and scored 33 goals against Barcelona, while Montada suffered a crushing 42-17 defeat against Zamalek.
In the first half of the game against Montada, they once again put on a great offensive performance to build a six-goal lead (15–9).
Their success was based primarily on a solid defense, led by goalkeeper Gonzalo Guerra, who stopped 13 shots, for a save percentage of 46%.
The outcome of the game was decided when Pinheiros went on a decisive 7-0 run without a response between the 13th and 21st minutes.
Montada tried to mount a comeback, but Pinheiros kept up the pace; their offense served as the perfect foundation for their first victory in five years at the IHF Men’s Club World Championship.
