Paraguay A wins Its Fifth SCA U-13 Championship in Asunción!, secured first place in the competition under the guidance of coach Wilson Alfonso.
The home team won the South-Central Championship for the fifth consecutive time at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee.
In the final match of the day at the COP Arena, Paraguay A defeated Argentina 25-21; the Paraguayan team won all five of its matches in the tournament.
María Colman of Paraguay A was named the game’s MVP and scored 6 goals.
The teams from Brazil and Paraguay B played a closely contested match in the third- and fourth-place playoff.
In the first half, Paraguay B went into halftime with a narrow 12-11 lead; the game ultimately ended in a 25-25 tie. Goalkeeper Mónica Peña was named MVP.
In the fifth- and sixth-place match, Uruguay and Chile tied 19-19; with this result, the Uruguayan team finished in fifth place in the standings.
The top scorer of the match was Martina Guzmán of Chile, while the MVP was Antonia Falcón of the Uruguayan team.
