Central American and Caribbean Games, Santo Domingo 2026

Central American and Caribbean Games, Santo Domingo 2026. The handball competition will take place from July 29 to August 7.

This will be the 25th edition of the Central American and Caribbean Games. The region’s premier sporting event will feature more than 6,000 athletes from 37 countries.

The official opening ceremony is this Friday, July 24, and the closing ceremony is on August 8. In total, there will be 40 sports and 56 disciplines competing for a spot on the podium.

Participants

The teams participating in the women’s and men’s divisions are: Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela.

In the women’s division, Group A consists of Guatemala, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic, while Group B consists of Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, and Venezuela.

As for the men’s groups, Group A includes Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela. Group B consists of Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala, and Mexico.
