Brazil among the eight best in the Women’s Handball World Cup! The Brazilians closed a memorable campaign in the 27th edition by reaching the quarterfinals.

Despite the defeat against Germany in the decisive match, the South American team showed growth, solidity, competitive maturity and a style of play that put it back on the big handball map.

A solid, undefeated start

The Brazilian team showed from the start that it was ready to make history. In the group stage, they remained undefeated, with strong performances. First they defeated Cuba 41-20, then overcame the Czech Republic 28-22 and closed with a victory over Sweden 31-27.

In the Main Round, Brazil ratified its good momentum with a resounding victory over Korea 32-25, and overcame Angola 32-26, thus assuring its qualification to the quarterfinals.

At the end of the second round they lost to Norway 14-33.

Quarterfinals: dignified fall to a European powerhouse

In the semifinal match, Brazil faced the powerful German team, which imposed its rhythm and won the match 30-23.

Even so, the green and yellow team offered resistance, showed character and made it clear that it competes on an equal footing with European teams, historically dominant in this discipline.

South American handball is growing steadily

Beyond the final result, the Brazilian campaign represents a milestone for South American sport, demonstrating that the gap with the powers can be closed through planning, training and a clear playing identity.

This World Cup left Brazil with three major achievements: international prestige and renewed visibility,consolidation of a young base with projection for the next cycle, andinspiration for the entire region.

Brazilian national team ended its participation in the World Cup on a high note, with a place among the eight best teams in the world.
