An electrifying final between Argentina and Brazil. In the first minutes of the game, the team coached by Mauricio Antonucci went from low to high. With quick counterattacks and a display in their defense they closed a partial 9-12 in their favor.
In the second half, the Argentinians turned the score around, but the Verdeamarela team quickly responded to equalize the match.
The goalkeepers of both teams stood out during the second half, with Victoria Trebini and Maia Pecnik of Argentina making key saves, the latter being named MVP of the match.
Meanwhile, Sara Herz was a wall in the Brazilian goal. In the end, Argentina won 23-22 to win the title of South Central American champion.
