Costa Rica gold at the Central American Games. The women’s team won the championship title after defeating Guatemala 25-15.
Five played five won
Girls coached by Oldemar Quesada Navarro, had an impeccable tournament with 5 victories. In the gold medal match, they overcame the Guatemalans with no surprises by 25-15.
Costa Rican captain, Pamela Badilla Estrada, was the top scorer with 8 goals scored. She also shared the top of the scoring charts with 28 goals in total with Alison Ortega Obando of Nicaragua.

In the women’s division, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Panama participated. The competition system was round robin. The ranking was as follows:
