Final and classic Brazil vs Argentina in Asu 2025. The women’s championship will be defined this Friday from 8:00 p.m. at the SND Arena in the Paraguayan capital.
The fourth day left the finalist teams defined, Brazil beat their Uruguayan counterparts 27-8 with a resounding victory.
In the other semifinal, Argentina defeated Paraguay 23-17 in a stadium full of spectators. The Guarani team could not achieve the victory and this Friday will try to define the bronze medal against Uruguay.
First game session
During the morning United States defeated Mexico by 27-22With this result, the Americans will play on Friday at 12:00 p.m. for the definition of the 5th and 6th place of the competition.
Chile defeated Cuba 37-24 and will face the United States of America. Meanwhile, the teams of Mexico and Cuba will be in charge of opening the game on the last day for the 7th and 8th places.
Semifinals
In the afternoon, two exciting matches were played in the semifinals. First it was the turn of Brazil, who easily won against Uruguay 27-8.
The team led by Cristiano Rocha will play the final. The outstanding player with 6 goals was Raquel Ladeia.
The second semifinal was played in the closing game with a stadium full of fans. What started out as an intense match in the first minutes of the game, turned into a display of the defenses of both teams.
Argentina and Paraguay closed a tied half 9-9, with low scoring and two goalkeepers, Anna Macke and Florencia Carrasco.
In the second half, the girls coached by Martín Duhau adjusted their defense and took advantage of the attacks to convert and extend the advantage on the scoreboard.
Outstanding performances by the Albiceleste goalkeepers, Carrasco in the first half and Lola Nuñez in the second half. With greater effectiveness Argentina achieved a 23-17 victory over Paraguay.
Final and classic Brazil vs Argentina
The South American classic that defines the champion of the competition and the qualifier for the next Pan American Games, Lima 2027, will be played this Friday at 8:00 pm.
