Argentina champion in The World Games, the women’s national team won the gold medal in the competition held in Chengdu, China 2025.
The team led by Leticia Brunati, was the protagonist in Chinese arenas taking revenge for the final of the last World Cup in Pingtan 2024.
The Argentine national team defeated Germany 2-1 (14:20, 22:12 SO 7:2) in the final. In the first set the Argentines were unable to unlock the German defense.
In the second set, the Kamikazes were more effective in the definition and managed to recover with the score in their favor, which led to a shoot out.
The shoot out crowned Argentina, the Albiceleste excelled in their conversions and the player Alma Molina blocked the fourth German shot in the goal so that later Fiorella Corimberto’s conversion sealed the victory.

Kamikaze tour and history
In the qualifying round they won all three matches, defeating Portugal 2-0 (16:15 and 13:10), then overcame Croatia 2-0 (16:18 and 19:24) and in the final match they beat the home team 2-0 (21:20 and 28:8).
In the quarterfinals, they obtained an important victory over Vietnam 2-0 (18:10 and 15:14) to advance to the semifinals where they defeated Spain 2-1 (20:15, 14:15 SO 6:4).
Argentina won the title in the final, thus adding its third medal in World Games, having won a silver medal in the Wroclaw 2017 edition, a bronze medal in the last edition in Birmingham 2022 and a gold medal in Chengdu 2025.
