With a historic participation

After the three teams representing South and Central America qualified for the Main Round, the event had a different relevance for COSCABAL.

For us, this meeting is also part of our real capacity to establish ourselves as a growing region in handball,” said Mancilla. commented Mancilla.

In addition, the president of COSCABAL assured that. “we no longer only participate, now we also return to compete, and in a process that as South and Central America has taken so far, 5 years that have been difficult but of much growth”.

We are sure that the IHF and our colleagues value it from a sporting and managerial point of view.

“Although I would point out that the comments and conversations reflect a better reception towards our region, I believe that as always the challenge is ours.

We must have 8 teams in the 2026 qualification to take advantage of the fourth merit quota granted to us by Brazil’s seventh place finish.

The city of Oslo was the chosen venue for this meeting, which left more than positive feelings for handball in South and Central America.

The year has just begun but the progressive work for the growth of Handball in our Continent does not stop.
