Brazil with two wins in the Main Round. The three South American teams, Argentina, Brazil and Chile, advance in the world championship to be played in Croatia, Denmark and Norway.
29th edition of the Men’s Adult Handball World Cup has concluded the preliminary round, with three teams from each group advancing to the next stage.
Brazil with two victories
Brazilian national team led by Marcus Tata started with a win against the local team, Norway.. The Norwegians won the game 14-12 in the first half, even though the Brazilians were more effective.
Result changed in the second half, the goalkeeper Rangel Da Rosa was key with his saves. Haniel Langaro scored 8 goals. Brazil took the victory 29-26. The MVP of the match was Rangel Da Rosa.

Against Portugal things changed, Brazil took the first half 15-12. In the second half, after a series of errors in defense and attack, the Portuguese managed to snatch the match and won 30-26. and won 30-26.
Lastly, Brazil defeated the United States at the Unity Arena where they played their three preliminary round matches. The Americans surprised by closing the first stage 12-10 in favor.
In the second half, Brazil’s quick attacking moves forced the United States to make defensive errors, which led to greater effectiveness on the part of the green-and-green side. Brazil won 31-24.

Main Round
Brazil had two wins and one loss, accumulating 4 points that placed them in second place in the Group E table.
In the Main Round, Brazil is part of Group III, next Wednesday, January 22 will face Chile at 11:30 am. On Friday 24th they will play against Sweden at 14.00 and will close on Sunday January 26th against Spain at 14.00 (Brazilian time).
