Chile, Argentina and Brazil dominate on day 2 of the Senior SCA, closing in on the three available spots for the Germany/Netherlands 2025 World Cup.
Here is a summary of the day:
Game 1: Chile vs El Salvador
The day began with Chile’s resounding 38-13 victory over El Salvador, showing dominance from the start.
With an efficiency of 71%, the “Lobas” took advantage of the counterattacks and defensive errors of the Salvadorans. The teams went to halftime 20-8.
In the second half, Chile maintained its aggressive rhythm, achieving a 10-0 partial in the first minutes. Although they missed some key shots towards the end, they secured the win easily 38-13.
Gabriela Müller was the outstanding player with 8 goals and was named MVP of the match. This victory gave Chile its first two points.

Game 2: Argentina vs Uruguay
Argentina defeated Uruguay 32-18 with a solid offensive and defensive performance. Mariano Muñoz’s team took advantage of the spaces in front of the Uruguayan defense.
Marisol Carratú, goalkeeper for the Argentine national team, made 52.63% of her saves, which allowed her to go to the break with a 16-9 advantage.
In the second half, Argentina kept control of the game and took the victory. Micaela Casasola and Macarena Sans, both with 7 goals, led the attack.
The MVP of the game was Micaela Casasola.

Game 3: Paraguay vs Brazil
Brazil defeated Paraguay 40-13, consolidating its undefeated record in the Senior Women’s SCA in a match played with a large crowd at the CT Niteroi Stadium.
Paraguay had an 11% efficiency rate on defense, many mistakes on offense and turnovers.
Meanwhile, Brazil, with an outstanding performance by goalkeeper Renata Arruda in the first half, closed the partial 23-6.
Brazil maintained its overwhelming pace, widening the gap without complications. Adriana Cardoso was the top scorer with 10 goals and was voted the game’s MVP.
