Argentina qualified for the World Cup in the SCA Senior, defeating Paraguay 36-26 in a thrilling match. In this way, they reach their fourth match undefeated and tomorrow they will dispute the championship title against Brazil.
VIBRANT FIRST PART
Argentina came out determined to win. They dominated the first 5 minutes of the match, forcing Marizza Faria to call a time-out. From then on, Paraguay reacted and changed its attitude in the game. With 15 minutes left before halftime, Argentina began to take off on the scoreboard. The entry of Ayelén Rosalez in goal with 50% of saves, complicated the Paraguayan attack. The score was 18-12.
WINNING CLOTH
In the second half, Argentina adjusted its marking and became more solid in defense. In addition, they knew how to handle the positional play better and find the holes in the rival defense. On the other hand, Paraguay could not sustain the rhythm and was always behind in the scoreboard. Argentina won the match 36-26, with this result they got a ticket to the World Cup in Germany/Netherlands 2025.
Rosario Urban was the scorer of the game with 8 goals. Carolina Bono was elected MVP.
