In addition, the first half counted on the great performances, under the three posts, of Nicolás Calquin (Chile) and Juan Gimenez (Paraguay) who with their high percentages of saves allowed the match to be even more even.
The first half ended 14-13 in favor of Paraguay.

STATEMENTS
Juan Gimenez, player of the Paraguay A National Team: “A very incredible feeling because the sacrifice we made for 6 months was very noticeable. The help of Samuel, who was shouting at me the whole game, encouraging me with everything and a lot is thanks to him”.
Mateo García , player of the Chilean National Team: “In a way, we were very anxious because we had been playing very well. We thought that this match was not going to be so complicated. Looking ahead to the next match we have to think that we still have a chance to win a medal. That is our goal, because after this match we will not be able to be at the top of the podium. Now Argentina is next, which is a very difficult opponent, but we must not lose hope”.
