Victory of Pinheiros in the beginning of the SCA of Clubs. This Tuesday Jockey Club Cordoba (Argentina) and Esporte Clube Pinheiros (Brazil) opened the first date of the most important SCA Handball championship.
The Brazilian team achieved an important victory, winning 27-18 against Jockey. The Libertadores of Handball vibrates in San José.
First half
The first to open the scoreboard was Pinheiros, then the first 30 minutes were very even, as both teams managed to be strong on defense.
In order to convert, they had to work on long attacks and wait for spaces to be created. After 25 minutes Pinheiros managed to tie the score at 10, after two errors by the Equestrian defense.
The Brazilians closed the quarter 11-12 in favor of Pinheiros.
Second half
In the second half, the defending champions showed their experience with a 6-0 run. The defense and counterattack, along with the great performance of the goalkeeper, Jessica Oliveira were the key. It was 9 minutes before Jockey managed to score again. It was very difficult to reverse the situation for the Cordobesas, who played a great match in their debut.
Irina Olmos, player number 5 of Jockey Club Córdoba, was chosen as the MVP.
