The fourth match of the first day of the South Central American Club Handball Championship was played at the Emecal Gymnasium in Taubaté. The Nacional team took the victory by 55-13.
The team led by Francisco Stringhini was superior from start to finish. The effectiveness in counterattacks and the speed of the game allowed Nacional to close the first half 28-07.
In the second half, the goal difference was greater, Partille’s defensive errors, plus the ball losses, increased their rival, who did not make mistakes and took advantage of the spaces to score goals. The final score was 55 -13. The MVP of the game was Luis García, captain of the Nacional team.
In the results of the first round of the day Colegio Ward beat Met de Chile 28-21, Praia Clube overcame Universitario de Córdoba 29-28 and Pinheiros defeated Liceo Nacional Maipú 41-20.

Álvaro de Araújo player of Nacional: “the first game is difficult, it is the premiere, but we knew what we had to do now to rest and continue in the Tournament”.
Stefano Torres player of Partille Club: “It was a very tough match, we knew that Nacional was going to be a rival that was going to demand a lot from us, we have been preparing ourselves and looking to play against high level rivals to have a better rhythm and international exposure. We think long term and I think the opportunity to play in the South Central clubs is a unique one.”
