Match schedule for the preliminary round of Paris 2024. The International Handball Federation and the Paris 2024 Organising Committee have confirmed the match times for the preliminary rounds.
Following the conclusion of the men’s and women’s qualifying championships, the groups have been formed in both groups.
Six matches will be played per day at the Arena 6 South in Paris, between 25 July and 4 August, with the only exception being 26 July, the day of the official opening ceremony of Paris 2024, which will take place on the River Seine.
Women’s competition
The women’s competition will be the first to start on Thursday 25 July, with the highlight match being France, the current Olympic and world champion, against Hungary.
Men’s tournament
The men’s tournament will begin on July 27, one of the highlights will be when the last two Olympic finals and the final of the 2023 World Championship, Denmark vs France, face each other.
Preliminary round
The preliminary round of the women’s competition will end on August 3, while the preliminary round of the men’s competition closes on August 4.
After a day of rest, the teams will face each other in the knockout phase at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille.
The medal matches are scheduled for August 10 for the women’s competition and August 11 for the men’s.
