CoSCABal officially reports that of the 4 places originally awarded to South and Central America, only two will be awarded during the current SCA Senior Women’s Handball Championship Buenos Aires 2022.
According to IHF regulations, the number of teams participating in the tournament resulted in our continent losing two of the previously assigned places.
COSCABAL presented a proposal to the International Handball Federation to try to reallocate these places in the tournament that will be held in February in Nicaragua and that will serve to qualify the Central American teams for the Central Caribbean Games.
