Uruguay, Brazil and Argentina began their participation in the Beach Handball Youth World Cup

Today began the second edition of the IHF World Championship of Beach Handball Youth Men and Women to be held in Heraklion, Greece and which has the participation of three teams from the region: Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.

For the Argentine national team, this is their second participation in the tournament and seeks to repeat the feat they performed in 2017 when they were third in the competition. Meanwhile, for Brazil and Uruguay, this will be their first world youth and the goal is to make history.

The event that brings together 16 nations of the world, and that will develop between 14 and 19 June, already has its first results:

For now, only the men’s team of Argentina managed to consecrate its first triumph in the tournament. Anyway, there are still many group stage matches to continue adding points and to advance to the next round.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian women’s team will make its debut in the intercontinental round tomorrow when it faces Ukraine at 18:20 (EEST- local time).
