Phase 2 towards the Beach Handball World Cup. Phase 2 of the SCA Senior Women’s Beach Handball Tournament that grants a ticket to the most important event in Zagreb, Croatia.
Coscabal has obtained authorization from the IHF to carry out a reclassification called Phase 2 which will put in dispute the third place available for our continent.
Venue Assignment
The Peruvian Handball Federation has been designated as the venue for the event, having available the High Performance Center in Punta Rocas, Lima.
The competition will take place from April 15 to 17, 2026.
Important information
a) Ensure the presence of the teams that participated in the main qualifying event held in the city of Rosario.
b) At least one team that has not participated in the SCA Beach Handball Rosario 2026 Championship must be present.
c) The competing teams will compete for the available place not assigned. The modality established for the competition by COSCABAL will be an equivalent simile of the one executed in Rosario 2026.
Reminder
In the recently concluded Beach Handball SCA Rosario 2026 Championship, the female branch had two places and one merit place, 3 in total, which was achieved by the ranking obtained by the Argentine national team in the previous IHF World Championship.
In accordance with the above and in accordance with the general rule for World Cup places, at least 6 teams had to participate in order to obtain the direct qualification of the 3 best teams.
Therefore, with only 5 national teams participating, it was possible to allocate 2 of the 3 available places.
This meant that in the women’s category only the 2 best-ranked countries in the competition (Argentina and Brazil) qualified.
