Beach Handball SCA Senior, Rosario 2026 has started! The best beach handball of the continent is being lived in the beach resort La Florida in Rosario, Argentina.
The first day was vibrant with the competition that grants quotas for the World Cup in Croatia. Here is a summary of the first day.
Chile vs Brazil (men)
The day began with the match between Chile and Brazil. The green and yellow team defeated the team coached by Pamela Flores by 2-0 with sets of 3:14 and 16:18, showing their superiority in most of the match.
Paraguay vs Uruguay (men)
The Charruas won the first set 14:22, Paraguay reacted in the second, managing to even the score in the last moments and taking the set with a golden goal, 18:20.
Paraguay finally won in shoot-out by 8:6, sealing their victory.
Paraguay vs Brazil (female)
In the women’s category, Brazil opened the day with a 2-0 win over Paraguay, winning the first set 14:17 and the second 12:20.
Chile vs Uruguay (female)
In a thrilling match, Uruguay defeated La Roja by 2-1.
With a tight first set, the girls coached by Máximiliano Malfatti won the first point by 18:12.
However, with the spirit that characterizes the sky-blue team, they managed to tie the match, winning the second set by 16:17. In the shoot-out Uruguay was able to win comfortably by 6:10, taking the victory.
Brazil vs Paraguay (men)
In the opening of the afternoon session of the SCA Senior Beach Handball, Brazil won convincingly against the Guarani team. The first set was 22:16, while the second set ended with the score 22:10.
Brazil vs Chile (female)
Brazil defeated Chile by 2 sets to 0. The girls coached by Vinicius de Oliveira knew how to handle all phases of the game, which allowed them to win the first set by 14:17 and the second set by 12:20.
Argentina vs Chile (men)
In the debut for the locals, they won against Chile by 2-0. In the first set the Albiceleste won by 19:16 and in the second set, they stretched the difference with a score of 28:16.
Argentina vs Paraguay (female)
At the end of day 1 and in front of a large crowd, the Argentine women’s national team won its first victory of the tournament. The debutants defeated Paraguay 22:11 and 26:18.
