Guatemala vs El Salvador (Seats 7/8)
Guatemala and El Salvador opened the fifth day of competition. Johanna Arevalo’s team outshot their opponents 34-18 and took seventh place in the tournament.
Andrea García was the top scorer of the game with 7 goals.

Colombia vs Chile (Positions 5/6)
In the definition for the fifth place, Chile beat Colombia 36-26. It is important to remember that the Colombian team won the Intercontinental IHF Trophy.
Renata Lizana was the scorer of the game with 8 goals, followed by her teammate Isidora Valdivieso with 7 goals.

Paraguay vs Uruguay (Seats 3/4)
A vibrant match was played between the Guaraníes and the Charrúas. With a large crowd, the last available place to the World Cup was at stake.
Paraguay had an erratic start in the first half, but as the minutes passed, each team consolidated its rhythm of play.
Solid defenses and goalkeepers were strong in the first half with a 13-14 partial in favor of the Uruguayans.
In the second half, Uruguay stretched the lead but after several defensive errors, Paraguay managed to tie the game.
The final minutes were decisive, the goalkeepers Claudia Ruiz Diaz and Maria Aicardi were key. Finally, Paraguay scored in the final seconds and won 23-22 over Uruguay.
Fiorella Enriquez was the top scorer of the match with 9 goals scored. Wilson Alfonso’s team got the last ticket to the World Cup.
