Paraguay on the road to the Women’s Adult World Cup. The team coached by Marizza Faria is preparing for the World Cup to be held in the Netherlands and Germany.
The Paraguayan national team will make its fifth presentation in World Cups in the adult women’s category. Paraguay has participated in 2007, 2013, 2017 and 2023.
Qualifying course
The Paraguayan women have been showing sustained growth in the women’s national teams. At the Pan American Games held in Santiago 2023, they won the bronze medal.
During 2024 they were also present in the pre-Olympic for the first time. In addition, they played the South Central American Championship in the city of Niteroi, which left them in fourth place in the ranking.
That position gave them the possibility of playing in the playoffs for the World Cup along with Colombia and Peru. Finally, Paraguay won the ticket and will be present at the World Cup in the Netherlands and Germany.

Confirmed staff
In goal Fátima Ocampos and María Machuca; first line Fernanda Insfrán, Delyne Leiva, Paula Fernández, Jessica Fleitas, Milagros Samaniego and Fiorella Enríquez.
Ariana Portillo, Jazmín Mendoza, Brenda Torres, Fátima Acuña and Valheria Valdovinos will travel as wingers. Meanwhile, the pivots are Sabrina Fiore, Gissela González and Maggie Lugo.
The coaching staff is made up of coach Marizza Faria, assistant coach Maicoll Giménez, kinesiologist Tati Sanabria and delegate Martín Duarte.
Preliminary phase
Paraguay is part of group D with Spain, Montenegro and Faroe Islands. On Wednesday, November 26, Paraguay plays against Spain and on Friday, November 28, against Montenegro.
The closing match of the preliminary phase will be with the Faroe Islands on Saturday, November 30. All matches of the phase will be played at the Trier / SWT Arena.
