In the match for the definition of the fifth and sixth place in the U-17 Men’s World Championship, the Argentine team had a very good performance against Brazil and secured the victory 39-27.
Brazil, on the other hand, only took the lead four times during the match. Brazilian center back Eduardo Rodrigues was one of the most outstanding players, scoring eight goals.
Meanwhile, the Argentines played a fast and offensive game that allowed them to close a 20-12 partial in their favor.
Nicolás La Delfa was his team’s top scorer with 10 goals and was elected MVP of the game.
With this result, Argentina took fifth place in the competition in its first edition, while Brazil came in sixth.
The German team was crowned champion of the tournament after defeating Egypt by the minimum difference 44-43, the Germans won the gold medal, silver for the Egyptians and the bronze medal went to Spain, which defeated Qatar 35-23.
