Taubaté wins in the Club World Cup

Taubaté won in the Club World Cup. After closing the preliminary phase with two defeats, they added their first victory.

The Brazilian team led by André Silva played two matches in the preliminary phase of the Club World Cup being held in Egypt. The first game was against Zamalek Club and then it was the turn of FC Barcelona.

Preliminary phase

Taubaté lost 24-26 to Zamalek despite having a good display of play. The player Gabriel Dos Santos Da Rosa scored 5 goals followed by Vinicius Perin and Kelvin de Oliveira Barros who scored 4 goals each.

Gustavo Andrade and Lucas Mendes scored 3 goals each. Guilhermoe Peixoto (2), Victor Rodriguez (1), Guilherme Torriani (1) and Pedro Sosa (1) also scored.

In the second match, the victory was for the Catalan team of Barcelona by 41-22. The goals for Taubaté were scored by: Gabriel Dos Santos Da Rosa and Gustavo Andrade 4 each, Guilherme Torriani (3).

Also scoring were Kelvin de Oliveira, Washigton Silva and Lucas Mendes 2 goals each; Vinicius Perin (1) and Pedro Sosa (1).

In search of the triumph

This Tuesday came the victory against Sydney Uni Handball Club by 35-21. The scorer of the match was Gustavo Andrade with 10 goals and he was also elected the MVP of the match.

The other goals came through Lucas Mendes (6), Vinicius Perin and Gabriel Dos Santos Da Rosa (4) each, Kelvin de Oliveira and Gerardo Gorrito (3) each, Washigton Silva (2), Victor Rodriguez, Guilherme Torriani and Italo de Souza (1) goal each.

This Thursday, October 2nd at 6:45 am, Taubaté will face the California Eagles coached by Guillermo Milano, former coach of the Argentine national team. It will be the definition of positions from seventh to ninth place.
