Argentina won the gold medal at the SCA U15 in Asuncion, beating Paraguay A 31-29 in the final to be crowned champion of the competition. Both teams also qualified for the IHF World Championship 2026.
A full COP Arena vibrated with the great match of the women’s final on Saturday night.
Champions and qualifiers
The Argentine team, coached by Hernán Siso, won the title after battling in a great final. In regulation time the match ended tied 24-24.
In the first extra time, they tied again 27-27 and in the second half, Argentina managed to take advantage after an important save by their goalkeeper Victoria Trebini.
The Albiceleste closed the score 31-29 and won the gold medal of the tournament. The scorers of the match were Alma Albino, Sol Oranias and Agustina Viscovich.

For Paraguay A, Viviana Parra was the top scorer of the match with 9 goals.
Other results
For the third place Brazil beat Uruguay 22-17, player Mariah Cruz Alves was the scorer with 9 goals and was also chosen as the MVP of the match.
Meanwhile, Chile defeated Paraguay B 29-27 and placed fifth in the tournament. Agustina Menendez was the scorer with 7 goals scored.
