The II Junior Pan American Games have started, Asunción 2025 is already underway. In the first day of women’s competition Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay sealed their victories.
First session
Brazil vs Mexico were the first to take the field, the team led by Cristiano Rocha dominated the game from start to finish, closing a partial 21-8.
In the second half, the difference in the scoreboard widened and ended with a 43-15 ended with a 43-15 win for Brazil.. Nhauany Teixeira was the top scorer of the game with 10 goals.
The Argentine national team overcame Cuba 47-20Argentina was superior during the whole game. The first half, left a partial 23-10 and in the complement the team led by Martin Duhau sealed the victory.

Second session
In the afternoon Chile vs Uruguay. The Uruguayan team led by Leonardo Puñales beat the Chilean team in the first half 16-12.

Paraguay closed the day with a packed stadium cheering on their national team in the SND.
The Paraguayan women, led by Marizza Faria, won an important an important victory against the United States 19-12. Milagros Samaniego was the top scorer for Paraguay with 5 goals.
Qualification to Lima 2027
It should be noted that the team that is crowned in first place will qualify for the next Pan American Games Lima 2027.
