Focused on the World Cup
Handebol Taubaté is preparing to compete in the Club World Cup. In a dialogue with coach André Silva about the teams with which they share Group C, he assured us that the games will be very tough but that they will try to represent Brazil and the continent in the best way possible.
“We have intensified training, we know who our opponents are and we are training. With the Egyptian team it will be a very physical match with a compact defense, we will have to try to implement some new tactics in the game proposal”.
“With Barcelona, which is a world power, it will be a game that we will have to work hard to prevent them from making such a big difference on the scoreboard.

Regarding the coach’s expectations to participate again in the competition, he said: “… it is a championship where everyone wants to be, it is the ninth time he participated, I am very motivated and I want to conquer a better position than in past editions”.
Taubaté lost its stadium due to a storm that destroyed part of the Club. Silva stated that they have not yet been able to recover the space.
“…we train in another place, but that does not prevent us from preparing well for the World Cup, the national league finals and the Paulista championship in Brazil”.
