Men’s competition began in Asu 2025. Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay sealed their victories in the II Junior Pan American Games.
The men’s tournament began this Sunday in Asunción, and whoever wins the title of champion will also win a ticket to the next Pan American Games Lima 2027.
Brazil vs Mexico
The Brazilian team opened the competition with a crushing 40-27 victory over Mexico. In the first stage they closed the score 17-15 and then in the second half they won the match.
The team led by André Silva had an efficiency rate of 68% and scored its second point in group B. The scorer of the match was Vinicius Perin with 8 goals.
United States vs Chile
In the closing of the first session of games United States of America beat Chile 26-23. In the partial they finished tied 13-13 with a percentage of 68% of effectiveness for the trans-Andean team over 65% for the Americans.
During the second half, Julio Leyva’s team scored the same number of goals (13) and goalkeeper Benjamin Pedersen made 9 saves.
The top scorer of the match was Cristobal Oyarzun for Chile and Benjamin Edwars for the United States.
Argentina vs Cuba
A first half with some defensive complications for the Argentine team that gradually found the spaces and closed a partial 16-14 to go up on the scoreboard.

It was Argentina’s 36-26 victory over Cuba. Nicolás Rodríguez was the top scorer with 7 goals.
Paraguay vs Uruguay
Last match of the day with a large crowd cheering on the Paraguayan team, which won 20-17 against Uruguay.
The Guaraníes had several inaccuracies in their shots, which allowed Uruguay to go to the break 10-6 up.
During the second half, Paraguay came out to reverse the result, and goalkeeper Martín González played an outstanding role.
