The Chilean national team finished in fifth place in Asu 2025 at the closing of the women’s competition of the II Junior Pan American Games.
The team coached by José Tham defeated the United States of America 30-24 in the last game. The match went from low to high for the Chileans.
During the first half, the Americans dominated the game with a 67% efficiency rate, the first half ended 14-14.
In the second half, Chile showed a clear recovery with 73% efficiency, adjusted its defense and became strong in attack. Goalkeeper Camila Henríquez had an outstanding performance in the trans-Andean goal.

Victory for Chile against the United States 30-24. Amanda Riquelme scored 5 goals for Chile and Emma Ready was the top scorer with 7 goals.
With this result, Chile remained in fifth place in the ranking in the II Junior Pan American Games. The United States was in sixth place, Cuba was in seventh place after beating Mexico 34-25 and closed in eighth place.
