Bronze for Brazil at the World Games

Bronze for Brazil at the World Games after beating Spain 2-1 in the competition held in Chengdu, China 2025.

The Brazilian team beat Spain in the bronze medal match 2-1 (22:23, 17:12 SO 8:6).With the victory, the team coached by Antonio Guerra added a new medal to its credit.

The road to third place

In the preliminary phase Brazil had three victories, beating Portugal 2-1 (18:16, 12:14, SO 13:12); they defeated Croatia 2-0 (20:14 and 18:16) and in the closing match of the preliminary phase they overcame Germany 2-1 (18:30, 21:20, SO 9:6).

In the quarterfinals they beat China 2-0 (24:12, 21:18), but in the semifinals they lost to Germany 1-2 (22:16, 16:19 SO 6:8). In the third place game they defeated Spain.

Brazil has won three gold medals at the World Games: Kaohsiung 2009, Cali 2013 and Wroclaw 2017, and added a new bronze medal, making a total of three in Akita 2001, Birmingham 2022 and Chengdu 2025.
