Brazil champion in Asu 2025 and with a ticket to Lima 2027. The Brazilians won the gold medal at the 1st Pan American Junior Games.
Vibrant final in the II Junior Pan American Games, the South American classic went to Brazil who defeated Argentina by 22-19.
Brazilian superiority
During the first few minutes Brazil brought out their offensive attack and their goalkeeper Sophia Kieling stood out with a high percentage of effectiveness.
The first time out was requested by Martin Duhau, the Argentinean coach, to turn the score 6-2 in favor of the Brazilians at the beginning of the first minutes of the match.
Superiority of the Brazilian team with effective shots and a tough defense that blocked the Argentinean team that wasted several times the attack. Brazil closed a partial 15-8.
Championship and classification
In the second half Argentina managed to shorten the distance on the scoreboard but it was not enough. After a brilliant performance by the Brazilian team, with a total of 54% efficiency, they were crowned champions in Asunción 2025.
The green-and-green team won 22-19, first place, the gold medal and a ticket to the next Pan American Games Lima 2027.
Brazil’s captain Lorenna Loyane showed that she has many resources on the field and had an outstanding performance with 4 goals, while Raquel Ladeia scored 7 goals and was the game’s top scorer.
