Thinking about new proposals and challenges for handball in the coming months, COSCABAL members held an important meeting with the Chilean Minister of Sports, Jaime Pizarro.
While the SCA Handball SCA Men’s and Women’s Clubs Handball ChampionshipCOSCABAL’s board of directors met with the Minister of Sport of Chile, a country that has been one of the relevant players in the sport in the continent.
Jaime Pizarro received them in his office and then they visited Miguel Angel Mujica, president of the Chilean Olympic Committee.

The future of handball
The main focus of the meeting was to analyze the present and future of continental handball from Chile to South and Central America in pursuit of the growth of handball.
The meeting was attended by the president of COSCABAL, Marcel Mancilla, the first vice-president and president of the Brazilian Confederation, Felipe Regó Barros.
Also the second vice-president of COSCABAL and president of the Argentine Handball Confederation, Carlos Ferrea.
In addition, the treasurer of COSCABAL and president of the Paraguayan Handball Confederation, Nadyr Figueredo; together with the pro treasurer of COSCABAL, Roberto Lombardo.
“It is of vital importance that Minister Jaime Pizarro received us, since our sport must continue to grow and develop,” he said.said Marcel Mancilla.
“We met thinking that Chile will be a fundamental actor to develop new proposals, competitions and advances for handball in the continent”, added Mancilla after the meeting.
