There will be a new champion! Layva and Sedalo finalists of the Women’s Club Handball SCA.

LAYVA VS RIVER
In a very even start, the defenses of both teams were solid, provoking the work through positional attacks to reach the goal.
Also, during the match, the goalkeepers Agustina Modernell of Layva, with 41.18% of effectiveness, and Natalia Cabo of River, who had 36.36% of saves, stood out.
Towards the end of the first 30 minutes, the millionaires were able to be finer on offense and managed to go to the locker room with an 11-8 lead.

In the second half, both teams had several unforced errors, maintaining parity in the score. With just over 6 minutes left, Layva managed to take the lead for the first time in the match.
The defensive order of the Uruguayan team made River’s mistakes in their positional, and in this way they were able to get the victory by 21 to 19. Thus, Layva is the first finalist of the Women’s Club Handball SCA.
“It was a very tough match against a difficult opponent, who were vice-champions last tournament. For us it is a great achievement, but we are going to prepare ourselves to face the final with humility and with all the desire”, said Sabrina Grieco, Layva’s player.

PINHEIROS VS SEDALO
The match developed with a lot of parity, as Pinheiros was able to take advantage of its speed in the counterattack, while Sedalo was able to take advantage of its offensive work. During most of the game they were goal for goal, making the Centro de Deportes Colectivos – Parque Estadio Nacional vibrate.
At the end of the first half , the Buenos Aires team was 5 minutes without being able to score, which allowed the reigning champions to take off in the scoreboard. So much so, that they went to the locker room with a 15-11 lead.

In the second half, Sedalo came out determined to turn the game around. With ball stealing and defensive solidity, they quickly managed to tie the game, and from then on they never found themselves behind on the scoreboard, although the experienced Brazilian team was always on the lookout.
In the end, Dolores García sentenced the match with a 9-meter shot that gave the victory to the Argentineans by 24 to 23. Sedalo won the ticket to the final, proving that it was no coincidence what happened in the group phase, where they had also defeated the current champion of the competition.
“We are happy, Sedalo made history. We are going to wait for tomorrow to give it all and take the first place”, declared Antonela Mena.
